In Oslo, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre specifically requested China’s support for achieving a ceasefire and engaging in substantive peace negotiations. However, he also voiced concerns regarding China’s economic transactions with Russia, particularly in the energy sector.
The collective appeal from the Nordic countries emphasized the need for China to encourage Russia to engage in negotiations without any preconditions. This was stated by Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, who highlighted the unified stance of the Nordic nations on this issue.
